How much heat does the electric fire produce?

The Adam Sahara electric fire offers two heat settings: 1kW and 2kW maximum output. The 1kW setting suits smaller rooms or mild heating needs, whilst the 2kW setting can effectively heat medium to large spaces. The adjustable thermostat maintains your preferred temperature automatically and you can use the flame effects without heat during warmer months.

Does this come ready to install or require assembly?

The package arrives in five pre-built sections that significantly reduce installation time compared to flat-pack furniture. The sections feature pre-edged and bevelled joints designed for easy painting and fitting. You'll need basic DIY skills for final assembly and wall mounting, but the pre-built approach eliminates complex construction work.

Can I paint the media wall any colour?

Yes, the unfinished MDF surface accepts most paint types including emulsion, satinwood and gloss finishes. The pre-edged and bevelled joints create smooth surfaces that paint evenly without visible seams. Prime the MDF first for best results, then apply your chosen colour to match your room's décor perfectly.

How do the LED downlights connect to power?

The LED downlights are included with the package and require connection to your mains electricity supply. You'll need a qualified electrician to make the final electrical connections safely and in compliance with building regulations. The downlights operate independently from the fire, allowing separate control of ambient lighting.

What's included with the remote control?

The 7-day programmable timer remote controls both heating and flame effects independently. You can set different schedules for each day of the week, adjust flame colours through seven settings and control both 1kW and 2kW heat outputs. The remote also operates the adjustable thermostat and can turn flame effects on without heat.

How heavy is the complete package?

The entire media wall package weighs 138kg, requiring careful handling during installation. This substantial weight reflects the durable 18mm MDF construction and included electric fire components. You'll need at least two people for safe installation and ensure your wall can support this weight plus your TV when wall-mounting.

Can the front glass panel be removed permanently?

Yes, the three-sided glass panel system allows you to configure the fire with or without the front-facing panel based on your preference. This flexibility lets you create different visual effects and access arrangements. Removing the front panel doesn't affect the fire's operation or safety features, giving you design freedom.
